Luke Littler’s world has already been turned upside down following his record breaking heroics at the World Darts Championship.

The 16-year-old takes on Luke Humphries in tonight’s final where he will be aiming to become the youngest winner in the competition’s rich history.

Despite his new-found fame, the Warrington-born thrower will prepare in the same humble fashion he has done throughout the tournament, beginning with a ham and cheese omlette for breakfast, before boosting his energy reserves with a pizza for lunch.

Bouyed by the support of his legion of fans and his girlfirend, Eloise Milburn, Littler will be confident of victory tonight, but regardless of the result his financial future already looks assured.

Littler had already pocked a cool £100,000 for reaching the semi-final stage ahead of his meeting with former world champion Rob Cross.

After taking the 2018 winner to the cleaners, however, the teenager will double his earnings, whatever the outcome of his match against Humphries, who is targeting the world No.1 spot as well as his maiden world title.

How much will Luke Littler get if he wins the World Darts Championship final?

Given his experience and record in ranking events so far this season, it is no surprise to see Humphries chalked up as a 4/6 favourite.

The the reigning Grand Slam of Darts, Players Championship and Grand Prix champion was in imperious form in his own semi-final win over Scott Williams, sailing to a 6-0 victory.

Littler, however, is unlikely to be daunted by his status as underdog but nerves are likely to be a factor the closer he gets to the £500,000 prize that accompanies lifting the Sid Waddell trophy

The Nuke’s bank balance has been boosted by his world championship pay packet, but he had previously earned just over £20,000 learning his trade on the PDC Development Tour.

Despite the impending boost his bank balance will receive, Littler has modest plans for how he intends to spend his winnings.

Speaking last week, he said:  ‘All my friends are watching at home, we’ve always said we need to go Blackpool or Alton Towers so I think they will be looking at me like ‘you’re paying, Luke’ and I’ll be like, yeah, okay!’
