Ian Wright says IShowSpeed ‘should not be playing’ with legends like Kaka after the YouTuber avoided being sent off for a horror tackle on the Brazilian in a charity match.

The YouTube sensation took part in Friday’s Match for Hope in Qatar, one of a number of internet personalities playing alongside the likes of Roberto Carlos, Eden Hazard, Didier Drogba and David Villa.

During the first half, IShowSpeed made a beeline for Kaka as he strode forward, sprinting towards the World Cup winner at full pelt and then throwing himself into a tackle.

The 19-year-old went in studs up and caught Kaka flush on the calf, sending him tumbling to the ground, before quickly leaping up and celebrating his reckless tackle while the Brazilian lay prone on the ground.

IShowSpeed was booked by the referee – and was arguably lucky to stay on the pitch – though he clearly felt hard done by, protesting to the referee furiously.

Footage of the tackle has since gone viral, though many viewers – and now ex-footballers too – have been critical of IShowSpeed and his lack of regard for a former Ballon d’Or winner.

Ex-Arsenal frontman Ian Wright has joined the dissenting voices, commenting on a clip of the tackle and suggesting IShowSpeed should not be playing any more charity matches with bona fide football legends if he cannot control himself.

Replying to an Instagram post of the tackle, Wrighty said: ‘Should not be playing with these guys tackling like that.’

IShowSpeed seemed to target Kaka after a pre-match exchange in which the former Real Madrid man played down the YouTuber’s chances of getting one over on him.

Footage from moments before kick-off shows the American saying: ‘Holy s**t, I’m about to go against you? What do you mean no? I’m not gonna win? You wanna bet on it?’

IShowSpeed, who found fame making FIFA videos, missed a host of sitters in the match despite being teed up for an open goal at one point by Hazard.

Teammate Roberto Carlos was not best pleased with his performance and confronted him at half-time in the dressing room, telling him to ‘control and shoot’.

IShowSpeed apologised for not managing to score and despite being complimented on his speed, the teenager – who may require surgery on a knee injury – looked downbeat, replying: ‘I’m sick of football man, I’m about to quit!’
