Jude Bellingham congratulated his future Real Madrid teammate Endrick with a playful slap across the face after the teenager’s goal sealed victory for Brazil over England.

The 17-year-old striker was introduced as a second-half substitute after 71 minutes and wasted little time in leaving his mark on the game.

With 10 minutes left on the clock, the teenage star raced onto a rebound after Jordan Pickford denied Vinicius Jr to slot home into an empty net.

Endrick could have had a second deep in injury time as Brazil pounced on the counter attack but was denied by Pickford on that occasion.

In getting his first goal for his country at the home of English football, he becomes the youngest ever male player to score at Wembley.

Real Madrid saw off competition from a host of European clubs to agree a deal to sign Endrick back in December 2022. Currently at Palmeiras, he will join Los Blancos this summer when he turns 18.

In the Spanish capital he will form a fearsome attack alongside countrymen Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo with Bellingham also for company.

The England midfielder, who was replaced midway through the second-half, approached Endrick during Brazil’s post-match celebrations, giving the youngster a playful slap on the face before they shared a warm embrace.

Endrick collapsed to his knees as the final whistle blew in the capital as he celebrated scoring the first of what is expected to be many in Brazil colours.

‘I was just thinking about that (the goal), I couldn’t think about the game anymore, it even hurt me a little,’ Endrick said after the match.

‘It’s a unique memory. My family is here, my girlfriend, my managers. I’m not much of a crier, I’m holding back, but it’s something unique and I’m very happy.’

Brazil return to friendly action next week against Spain as they continue their preparations for their Copa America campaign this summer.

England meanwhile host Belgium on Tuesday night.
