Kylian Mbappe’s representatives have poured cold water on reports suggesting that the Paris Saint-Germain forward has agreed a move to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Mbappe’s future at the French club is once again in the spotlight, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the summer.

The Frenchman confirmed to the club last summer that he would not be activating the one-year extension in his contract, meaning he is currently able to sign a pre-contract with clubs outside France.

Reports in France over the weekend had suggested the 25-year-old had at last finalised terms to join long-time admirers Real Madrid at the end of the season.

However, Mbappe’s camp has now gone public to deny the validity of such reports and said discussions over his future have not even begun.

‘There is no agreement around Kylian’s future, especially since there are no discussions started about it,’ representatives told RMC Sport.

‘No type of influence could dictate the timing of Kylian’s discussions, reflections or decision.’

Mbappe looked set to join the Spanish giants in 2022 before he agreed upon a new bumper deal with PSG.

Agreeing another new contract with the Parisian club is still said to be a possibility before the end of the season but a move to Spain still appears the most likely.

Premier League clubs are also said to be interested in the World Cup winner’s signature, with Liverpool among those reported to be preparing a contract offer.

When asked last week if he had made a decision on his future, Mbappe said: ‘No. I’m very, very motivated for this year. It is very important. As I said, we have got titles to go after and we have already taken one.

‘After that, I haven’t made up my mind yet. I have not made a choice.’
