Rio Ferdinand has been trolled by Arsenal fans during a flight to Porto after he publicly insisted that Bukayo Saka was not world class.

The Manchester United legend upset Arsenal supporters last week with his comments about the 22-year-old winger on his VIBE with FIVE podcast.

Ferdinand has argued that Saka cannot be considered world class because has not proven himself in the ‘nitty-gritty stages’ of the Champions League.

Following Ferdinand’s remarks, Saka scored twice in 5-0 Premier League victory over Burnley on Saturday.

Saka has been one of Arsenal’s best players again this term, producing 15 goals and 13 assists across 32 matches in all competitions.

The England star has particular impressed in the group stages of this year’s Champions League, scoring three times and providing four assists in five games.

Saka will be hoping to add more to his tally when Arsenal face Porto on Wednesday night for the first leg of their last-16 tie.
