Amad Diallo misses Manchester United’s FA Cup clash with Wigan Athletic through illness.
United take on League One opposition for a place in the fourth round of the competition on Monday night.
Diallo, 21, was expected to feature after impressing off the bench in United’s defeat to Nottingham Forest in their final game of 2023.
But the Ivorian becomes the latest United player to miss out due to illness, along with Christian Eriksen.
Winger Antony is also ruled out through injury.
Diallo scored 14 times during an impressive loan spell with Sunderland last season but suffered a knee injury during United’s pre-season tour of the US.
He returned to training in December before making his first appearance of the season against Forest with his cameo off the bench impressing Erik ten Hag.
Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund come back into the side to replace Eriksen and Antony.
The Denmark international scored his first Premier League goal for the club in his last appearance in that thrilling 3-2 win over Aston Villa on 27 December.
He missed the defeat to Forest through illness.
Having been eliminated from the Carabao Cup and dumped out of Europe, the FA Cup represents the last realistic opportunity for United to win silverware this season.
‘I admire cup football because it’s do or die in one game,’ ten Hag said ahead of kick-off.
‘So therefore, I said before, in my approach to your questions you have to be ready. So then I repeat myself but get ready for the game. It’s a great game. There will be full attention on that game.
‘There will be a crowd that will be probably hostile. So enjoy that position [and be] fully motivated. So, yeah, be ready and go and play.’
