Manchester United hero Roy Keane has lauded bitter rivals Liverpool, revealing he ‘loves’ watching ‘sexy’ football from Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Liverpool beat Brighton 2-1 on Sunday but the Seagulls took a shock lead after two minutes thanks to a stunning opener from former United star Danny Welbeck.

Liverpool turned it around at Anfield, though, thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah to move back to the top of the Premier League table.

Keane was blown away by Liverpool’s performance as he made comments which are certain to irk some United fans, given the huge rivalry between the clubs.

‘He is a smart footballer (Alexis Mac Allister), I’ll tell you that – I’m usually impressed with him and his decision making,’ Keane told Sky Sports.

‘And again, like anything else when you just speed things up in the final third. He gets it here, the execution, the weight of the pass, the first touch from Mohamed Salah – beautiful. Sexy football to me, this, love watching it.’

Klopp was left delighted after his side’s victory and hailed the ‘genius’ moment which secured the Reds all three points.

‘[It was] an unbelievable ball [from Dominik Szoboszlai]. It is the creativity and the quality, seeing that,’ Klopp said.

‘He sees Macca, his first touch is incredible and then he sees Mo. How wasteful we were at all the other moments it was good we had this genius football moment to finish the game off.

‘Brighton have incredible quality. That is the measure I have for how good we were today because I really respect them.’
